To Thrive

A Marlborough, MA nonprofit caring for and teaching skills to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities couldn’t fill positions for years. But after they learned that Haitian migrants at a shelter in a nearby Econo Lodge had received work authorization, the leadership at Thrive Support and Advocacy sought to hire them, allowing them to expand their programs. Many of the people hired stayed close, attending social events and living in the same apartment buildings.
